Will Vega, 50, of Highland, NY died Saturday February 5th, 2022 at MidHudson Regional Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 31st, 1971, to William and Maureen (Fasano) Vega.
Will was a successful entrepreneur, having built a thriving business in the Hudson Valley. He valued family and dedicated his life to their happiness. He was a life-long GIANTs fan up until the end. He loved an event that brought people together, whether it was a sporting event or a get together at the house with a game of corn-hole, grilling with the kids in the pool on a Sunday. He was also one for adventure, always up to try new foods and restaurants, but he also loved a good trip to Chuck E. Cheese to play with the kids. He loved traveling, both on the road to Kalahari for birthdays and Wildwood NJ for the summer. More exotic places were also on the agenda, cruising sunny warm locations in the Caribbean. He was always happy in the sun on a beach.
He is survived by his wife, Shannon Vega and their children, Arrianna, Miah, Caelyn and Niko, his mother, Audrey Gonzalez, and two sisters, Lisette Bowen and Lisa Vega, and his brother Michael Martinez, and his mother-in-law Darlene Peterson and father-in-law Michael Dougherty. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive that will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Tara Kileen and father Nelson Gonzalez.
The family will receive friends at Gilpatric-Van Vliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
