Sharon A. Villielm, 74, of Center Road, High Falls passed away at home while in the comforting presence of her loving family early Friday morning, April 16, 2021.
She was born in Ansonia, CT on January 12th, 1947, a daughter of the late William and Lillian (Fischl) Fitzgerald.
Sharon was employed as a certified nursing assistant for the Ulster County Infirmary for several years before returning to the Kingston Hospital as an x-ray technician.
She loved dancing, especially Austrian folk dancing mostly associated with Schuhplattler, reading, baking, and flowers, especially roses. Most paramount to Sharon was raising and loving her family.
She is survived by two sons, John (Wendy) of Rifton and Michael (Krista) of Ulster Park, three daughters, Jodi (Mark Reynaud) of Ulster Park, Kristin (Jason Davidoff) of Saugerties and Lori Cockley of Naples, FL, a daughter-in-law Karen Williams of Hurley, one sister, Jeanne (David) Bliss-Morgan of Ulster Park, one brother John Fitzgerald of Naugatuck, CT, six grandchildren, John "JT" Thomas and Alyssa of Rifton, Samantha Swanson of Ulster Park, Anthony Cockley of Naples, FL., Cole Davidoff of Saugerties, and Owen Villielm of Ulster Park, and one great-granddaughter, Arya Villielm of Sicily, Italy. Several nieces, nephews and one cousin also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by one son, Robert P. Villielm, Jr.
The family has entrusted the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus, with the care and funeral arrangements for Sharon.
In following Sharon's wishes, there are no calling hours. The Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church in Esopus, officiated by Rev. John T. Kearney, will be private.
