Rodney W. Reeve, 69, of Port Ewen, formerly of Shandaken, NY, passed away at home on Sunday, February 14th, 2021, while in the comforting presence of his wife.
He was born in Copiague, NY, a son of the late Rodney and Margaret (McGuire) Reeve.
Rodney was employed with the Ulster County Sheriff's Office Corrections Division, retiring at the rank of Corporal in 2012 after completing 23 years of dedicated service.
He loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing in the Shandaken area, boating on the Hudson River and on Long Island Sound, riding his ATV and golfing.
He especially enjoyed traveling with his wife Jenny to various locations including Las Vegas, Canada, California, Connecticut and Lake George.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Jenny (DeLuca) Panzera-Reeve, four daughters, Lauren (Anthony) Gries of PA, Shannon (John) Vacco of Long Island, Bettina (Kris) Miltenberger of Long Island, and Jamie (Michael) Moss of South Carolina, one brother, Thomas (Jeannie) Reeve of Long Island, two sisters, Karen (Anthony) Labansky of Long Island and Judy (Pete) Corradengo of Florida. fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The family will receive friends during a walk-through visitation period at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, on Saturday, February 20th, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The service will be private. Cremation will follow at Wiltwyck Crematory, Kingston.
