Obituary for Joseph F. Buboltz, Jr.

Joseph F. Buboltz Jr., 62, of Hanratty Street, Kingston, formerly of Port Ewen, NY, died Sunday, February 21st, 2021 at Northern Manor Multicare Center in Nanuet following an a courageous battle with illness.

He was born in Kingston, New York on July 30th, 1958, a son of Joseph F. Buboltz Sr. of Port Ewen and Rose Marie (Hill) Furrow of Sarasota, Florida.

Joe was raised in Port Ewen and graduated from Kingston High School, class of 1977.

He was employed for over 40 years as a skilled plumber. He was most recently employed by Tom Sutton Electrical, Plumbing and Heating in Saugerties. Previously Joe was also employed by his uncle Gerald Besze Plumbing in Connelly, and also Spinnenweber Construction in Port Ewen.

He enjoyed hunting, alongside his brother Kevin, white tail deer and other small game in various areas in town of Esopus. He also enjoyed fishing, especially for trout in the Phoenicia streams and salmon fishing on Lake Ontario.

Joe took great pleasure in renovating his home on Hanratty Street in Kingston, inside and out, including landscaping. He could be found relaxing on his patio he recently built in spring 2020.

In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by one brother, Kevin A. (Carol) Buboltz of Kingston, one sister, Linda (Thomas) Schrader of Rosendale, and one niece, Samantha Schrader, and her fiance Kenneth, one nephew, Steven Schrader, and his fiance Jessica, and a great-niece, Cora Jean Schrader.

He is predeceased by one aunt, Barbara Besze.

The Buboltz family will receive friends during a walk-through visitation period at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus, on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The service will be private.
