Obituary for Evelyn M. Ellsworth

Evelyn M. Ellsworth, 71, of Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus, died early Friday morning, December 20th, 2019 at Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kingston.

She was born in Kingston, New York on May 7th, 1948, a daughter of the late Charles and Theresa (Uhl) Ellsworth.

Evelyn was employed as laundry attendant at Benedictine Hospital, and also as a housekeeper for the Ramada Inn, Kingston.

She is survived by two daughters, Theresa Alpaugh of Wisconsin, and Evelyn "Evie" Coon of Kingston, two sisters, Marge Cogswell of Ulster Park and Cheryl Dobbins of Bloomington, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She is predeceased by one son, Norman Alpaugh, one daughter, Jessie Ellsworth, and two brothers, Charlie and James Ellsworth.

The family has entrusted the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus, with the care and cremation service arrangements for Evelyn.

Cremation held at Wiltwyck Crematory. A graveside service followed by inurnment at Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery will begin 11:00 am on Thursday, December 26, 2019.
