Obituary for Edward Charles Collier

Edward Charles Collier, 78 of Route 213, Rifton, Town of Esopus, died on Wednesday, May 6th, 2020 at home.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 25th,1941, a son of the late Edward Lee and Helen (Foster) Collier.

A veteran of the US Air Force, Edward was employed as a faculty advisor for CUNY-Medgar Evers College in New York City.

He is survived by his loving companion, Bernadette C. Bibby, one sister, Joann Pugh, granddaughter, Ashley Bell, nephew, Michael Collier, Aunt Kelley Foster, and goddaughter, Zora Stephenson Blake. He is also survived by dear friends, Judith Burrell, Willis "Hank" Berry, Stephen Jacobs, Delridge Hunter, Norris and Paulette Cooper, and many more.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Bradley Collier.

The Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus,is entrusted with the care and cremation service arrangements for Edward, which are private.
