Obituary

Barbara Ann Conklin, 69, of Ulster Park died Wednesday, July 8th, 2020 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus.

She was born in Suffern, NY on May 7th, 1951, a daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Pitt) Conklin.

Barbara was employed in quality control with Dyno Nobel, Port Ewen. She was also employed in quality control at IBM, Poughkeepsie.

A member of Esopus Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, she loved to crochet hats for the Robert Graves Elementary School students, hats for newborns at the local hospitals, and lap blankets for dialysis patients in the Kingston and Hyde Park area, all of which were donated.

She is survived by two sisters, Linda (Ed) Bright of Ulster Park and Ruth (Fred) LeFever of Bloomington, nieces and nephews, Amanda (Alvin) Quick of Kingston, and Michael (Johanna) LeFever and their two children, Rory and Cole of Camillus, and Lynn (Mike) Gans and their son, Ian of Stone Ridge.

The family has entrusted the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus, with the care and cremation service arrangements for Barbara.

There are no calling hours. Cremation held at Wiltwyck Crematory.

A graveside service, officiated by Rev. Dr. David M. Brechter, followed by inurnment in the family plot at Riverview Cemetery, Port Ewen, will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11:00 am. Social distancing and masks are required.
