Albert "Albee" Frisenda Jr.,78, of Rt 28, Pine Hill, passed away on Friday, March 15th, 2019 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus following a battle with COPD.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 15th, 1940, a son of the late Albert and Rose (Lotito) Frisenda.

While living on Long Island, he was a dedicated member of the North Babylon Volunteer Fire Dept. Al was first introduced to the Pine Hill area as a teenager on one of many trips that were part of his traditional family hunting visits. His interests also included fishing and golf.

A veteran of the US Army, he was employed for over two decades as an Insurance Agent with Metropolitan Life, both on Long Island and most recently Kingston, NY. Following his years of insurance, he was an entrepreneur, opening the Alpine Deli on Rt. 28, Pine Hill, which he operated for over ten years. In the 90’s he was elected Town of Shandaken Councilman. Most recently he worked for a developer in the Shandaken area, and briefly worked as the Town of Shandaken Building Inspector before retiring.

He is survived by his daughter, Kim (Douglas) Huebner of South Orange, NJ, and his son, Kris Frisenda of Pine Hill. Most paramount in his life were his two grandsons, Rock and Grant Huebner both of South Orange, NJ. And he leaves behind many beloved cousins in the Long Island area.

The family has entrusted the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus, with the care and cremation service arrangements for Al.
